Currently residing in the North East, UK, Rory has been DJing for over 25 years. His early influences and sound back in the day were shaped by the U.S. West Coast house scene, in particular the early Naked Music vibe, Dubtribe Sound System, Miguel Migs, Rasoul, Andy Caldwell, JT Donaldson, and Lance Desardi. More of Rory’s influences include the likes of Calum Walker, Brendan Costigan, Jimpster, Charles Webster, Vincenzo, DJ Ino, Seph, Steven Garcia, Schmoov, and Crazy P — you can see it’s an eclectic bag.
This distinctive sound and its influence are obvious when you hear Rory work a crowd in the individual and unique way he has made his own, delivering that characteristic Cochrane deep house therapy. Rory has performed at some of the North East UK’s most prestigious and loved venues over the years, with music joints such as Stereo Bar, Tokyo Bar, To The Manor Born, The Loveboat, The Purple Onion, Cosmic Ballroom, Distrikt Bar, and The Faversham down in Leeds, to name a few.
His passion for deeper house music keeps his sound very current. Rory has been running the quality labels Deep Site Digital and Deep Site Vinylized since 2012, and more recently launched his brand-new label Music With Emotion Records, bringing a deeper organic and melodic vibe. This has seen him working alongside quality artists such as Death On The Balcony, Erdi Irmak, Bodaishin, Aske Izan, BiGz, Francisco Basso, Alex V, Niko Garcia, and Deejaguar on his new label roster, with influential artist Tim Green supporting recently.

Over the last few years, up to 2025, Rory has returned to play worldwide in Croatia, South Africa, London, Ibiza, Prague, and São Paulo, Brazil, where he performed at the world-famous D-Edge club, as well as Trip to Deep in Florianópolis. Other highly respected venues include Vagalume Beach Club, AGUVA Rooftop, Ephimera Sunset in Tulum, Mexico, Puro Beach, and Macarena Club in Barcelona.
Late this summer, Rory performed at the legendary club Fabric London for Bloop Radio’s 10th Anniversary. He has also maintained his six-year monthly label residency shows at the home of Bloop London Radio.
